Corus Chess 2007
Location
The Corus Chess Tournament 2007 will be held from 12-28 January 2007 in Wijk aan Zee. The tournament venue is the De Moriaan Community Centre (Dorpsduinen 4, 1949 EG Wijk aan Zee) and the nearby bar de Zon. Commentators on the games in Grandmaster groups A, B and C will be based in the Corus Chess Pavilion, on the Village Green in Wijk aan Zee (one minute walking from De Moriaan, you will pass the Pavilion on your left side when driving into Wijk aan Zee).

Invitation tournaments
The Corus Chess Tournament has three main tournaments. They are played according to the 'round robin' system, whereby each competitor plays in turn against every other during the tournament. All three Grandmaster groups have 14 players and start on January 13th.All rounds begin at 13.30 hours, except for the last round on January 28th, which begins at 12.30 hours (Grandmaster group C starts at 11.30 hours in the last round). There are rest days: on January 17th, 22nd, and 25th.

Amateur events
There are four amateur events during the Corus Chess Tournament, that are open for all players: Weekend-three-round events (12-14 January), Weekday-three-round-events (15-17 January), Nine-round events (19-28 January) and the Rapid Tournament (20-21 January).
